Giant egg and exploding mountain fire

Last night I dreamt I was eating breakfast with a group of people in a small mountain town cafe.  I was eating a HUGE fried egg - the one egg covered the whole plate - toast, bacon, and coffee.

Then we were outside on the boardwalk, visiting, when I noticed black smoke from a fire coming up over the mountains on one side. I commented on it and we watched it and talked about what it might be, when I noticed the mountains on the other side.  They were much larger and rockier and closer.  Nobody else was noticing them because we were all still talking about the fire on the other mountains.

Suddenly, there was a huge rent in the side/top of the mountain.  A fiery explosion - but not volcanic at all - that shot flame and sparks miles high into the air.  It blew a huge fiery whole into the side of the mountain and there were lots of flames and sparks coming out of it.  I tried to get the people I was with to notice, but they were still talking about the smoke from the fire on the other mountain.

Crystal Tarot

Last night I dreamt I'd found a beautiful Tarot deck that I'd forgotten I had.  It was luminescent and kept in a clear crystal box.  It sang in a soft, ethereal hum when I held it.

Dick Nourse, kidnapping & Leukemia

Last night I dreamt a former local television news anchorman and several other members of the local media were in my kitchen, all of them upset and worried.  There had been a carjacking earlier in the day - a silver Porsche - and the anchorman's son was kidnapped.  As everybody was talking, the front door opened and the son came into the house.  He was filling everybody in on the details of what had happened when there was a knock on the front door.  When I opened the door, a lady came in carrying an armful of Leukemia Foundation t-shirts for everybody.

Rainy Roads and Nico Vega

Last night I dreamt we were driving through a wet and rainy countryside.  My husband was doing the driving, the kids in the backseat.  It was getting dark and we were anxious to return to our hotel for the night.  As we were driving, the rains came heavier and the ground became saturated with water, causing the road to disappear in places.  Sometimes, a gust of wind would cause the water to move and allow us to see the road beneath it, so my husband continued to drive through.  I had a feeling we were lost, but my husband was insistent on reaching the other side of this swamp.  Suddenly, the minivan was no longer on the road, but rather in a large sink hole full of water.  And it was sinking.  My husband yelled for everybody to get out.  We stood together on a higher place in the road and watched as the van sunk beneath the water.  As I stood watching, I noticed a sign with the name of a lake on it along with the depth of "218 ft".  I knew the van and everything in it was lost.

Next we were at a country inn/house.  We told the manager what had happened and he showed us to our rooms.

As I walked down the hallway, I heard Nico Vega playing in the garage.  I went in to check it out.  The garage was a large rehearsal space with scarves and tapestries on the ceiling and walls and large pillows in bright jeweled colors on the floors for people to sit on.  I saw Rich playing an amazing instrument - like a cross between a zither, a sitar and a dulcimer.  I can't remember what he called it, but it was the most incredible stringed instrument I had ever seen or heard.  I started singing along with them.  It wasn't an actual song, just a jam.  But it was an amazing jam.  A soul healing, spirit filling jam.  Then I heard children's noises on the other side of the door and went to see what the kids were up to.  Aja followed me through the door.

In the other room, no longer the country inn but my house only larger, my youngest daughter had painted part of one wall sky blue.  The paint was still out and she and some other kids were running around the divider wall.  As I was trying to get them to calm down and clean up the paint mess they'd left behind, Aja was trying to ask me if I'd be interested in a Nico Vega music grant to further my singing.
