Plane, gym, storm

Last night I dreamt I was on a plane coming home from somewhere (Europe?). Johnny Depp and some other actors were sitting near the bathroom. The plane taxied to a nearby grocery store before taking off, allowing passengers the opportunity to get some snacks and stuff before the flight. I used the store's bathroom, then bought some snacks - banana, trail mix, honey - for the flight. My friend Heidi had a gooey cookie that was as delicious as it looked. I was trying to find one, too, but ran out of time before the plane was ready to go.

Then I was in a neighborhood gym - one of those that are county owned recreation centers - swimming and reading. My two youngest kids and their friends were playing and swimming, too. We were checking out the facilities and amenities before actually joining. I looked at the cost for membership - it was $600 per month for the family, but the membership was good at any county owned center. I was telling my husband about it when I noticed a very sick little boy hiding behind some equipment. It was time for his chemotherapy, but he didn't want it. It caused him a lot of pain. He wouldn't/couldn't talk. I got down on the floor with him and held him in my arms and sang to him while my husband administered the chemotherapy through an i.v. This all took place in an area on the other side of the garage from my house. A huge storm had blown in with very violent winds. My 2 youngest kids were asleep in the house, but I wanted to go check on them. When I opened the door to go over to the house, hurricane force winds blew in. The wind had destroyed the garage door. I managed to get the door shut and started crying to my husband about what I'd found. I was terrified - my kids were on the other side and I couldn't get to them! He assured me that everything would be alright, the kids were sleeping soundly and would be safe, and we'd call the garage repairman in the morning. Besides, a new garage door would improve our chances of selling the house. I went back to the sick little boy and held him some more - he was almost asleep and his i.v. was almost finished. I was hoping the storm would let up so I could get through the garage and to my kids in the house on the other side. I was really hoping that my husband was right and they were sleeping soundly through the storm.

Wow! One of the best dream-tellings I've ever come across - you got the odd segues in, while still making them feel natural and peculiar at once! Nice work!
